Men who wear Ralph Lauren polo shirts are more likely to cheat
Gone are the days of looking into your partner’s phone to check their texts or going on a near-spy mission to catch them loitering. Now, there’s an easier way to see if it’s two-stroke, according to a recent study.
Men who wear extravagant clothing with large, luxury embroidered logos are more likely to be untrustworthy, according to a University of Michigan study published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
Men who own t-shirts with larger brand emblems were “rated higher for mating effort, lower for parental investment,” the researchers said. NY Post reports.

These men are also less interested in long-term, committed romantic relationships, the study showed.
They are also less attracted to women who want these long-term relationships than to men who have shirts with a small logo on them.
Another objective of the study – led by an evolutionary psychologist Dr Daniel Kruger – was to determine whether men who wear flashy clothes were more attractive to women or whether women might be more attracted to men who are wealthy and can provide them with a stable financial future.
The study focused on the Ralph Lauren brand and its famous polo shirts with the iconic mini horse logo and shirts that contain its larger version of the logo.

The research team asked a group of men to see what type of polo shirt they prefer to wear when attending parties and other social events.
Research has shown that men prefer smaller logo shirts for night out as well as for job interviews and formal events.
The women who participated in the study were not surprised by the results.
“Rather than being a reliable and honest signal of a future paternal investment, the displays of luxury goods can sometimes represent an investment in the attraction of companions, which comes at the expense of future investments in the offspring,” he said. Dr Kruger told Daily mail.
